This fish is a saicanga (dog-fish or bone-fish in tupy language). When fishing lambaris (Astyanax spp, a south-american little minnow), they are intrusive.
And so the fishery is very good, delicious!
The lambaris in small mountain rivers and streams - or in running waters on stones, as are the trout, not in size, but the subtlety and the technique of fishing.
The author (I know) fishing almost every day and loves to fish with fly. Despite the language barrier, it is worth reading your blog.
When will the south of Brazil, dear reader, try to fly fish the saicangas...You will have fun!
God bless you!
João
PS - excuse my English - I only speak and the Portuguese, Spanish and some Hebrew...

Um blog sobre fly fishing que também aborda vários assuntos interessantes, sempre trazendo uma ou outra novidade. Adorei a combinação A glass of port, a cigar, and a fly fishing blog.
