Weaving was a difficult process for me to learn. Or, I should phrase that in the present tense, I’m still learning the technique. Here is a 2-fer: a demonstration of the weaving process – which allows you to tie flies with light bottoms and dark tops, and a heavy, spark-plugish, fly to get down deep.
You can tie 2 to the n variations of this pattern, where n equals the colors in the Uni-wire catalog. My only tweak to this pattern would be a drop of epoxy or knot-sense over the flash back.
