I’m a Mac, and I’m a Fly Fisherman

November 30th, 2009 · 5 Comments

After much influence, I’ve recently made the switch from a PC to a Mac, specifically a Macbook Pro. Its a very nice machine; solid build, large bright screen that makes photos pop, very useful set of applications (iLife is really cool), and its very fast for mundane activities like resuming from sleep, starting iTunes, and connecting to the internets.

The Mac is the fly fishing of computers. My new Mac is higher quality, more refined than my PC; and more expensive.

Also, just like how fly fishermen look down and make fun of bait fishermen, Mac users look down at PC users.

You’re going to be glad you made the switch. I did it years ago an have not looked back since!

Excellent and congrats, you deserve a machine that will work hard for you everytime you ask it to do so, I liken the mac we own to the Sage I toss my flies with. Look forward to more from your new puter.

I build my own fly rods – I must be a Linux user…

Actually, I’d say the exact opposite. the mac is fishing with powerbait, the pc is fly fishing, and linux is fly fishing for steelhead standing in 38 degree water while it’s snowing.

The mac is a toy really. if all your doing is browsing web pages, listening to music and sending email the mac is awesome. for real software you need a pc.

…Not an oppinon; i work for the largest company in the world. the one that produces the most software for the mac and the pc. i own multiple computers; mac and pcs.
