Yesterday, I showed a photo of Mount Shasta in northern California.
This started as a pretty standard landscape photo of Mt Shasta, which is mandatory while travelling past on highway 101.
Here is the procedure:
- Pull this into Photoshop Elements
- Make your exposure and color adjustments, and any touching up you want to do.
- Copy All (ctrl-A & ctrl-C for windows, Mac users don’t need me to tell them the key strokes)
- Increase the canvas size to double the width.
- Paste a second copy, then flip it 180, horizontally. Move it over to fill the second half of the canvas.
- Resize the vertical size of the image to match the horizontal. This distorts the photo, stretching it vertically.
- Apply a distortion filter with polar coordinates.
- Enjoy
