Shasta River Coho Restoration – The Nature Conversancy

Hot Dam!

Thanks to a comment from Jim McCarthy, where he pointed to the WaterWatch web site, we have a cool video to watch where dams actually get blown up!  The Water Watch organization is working to eliminate four dams on the Rouge river, with the goal to have the Rouge flow un-impeded for 157 miles.

Most get skunked, but still don’t want stockers

An angler survey conducted last year at Harriman State Park in Idaho shows that most of the anglers were unsuccessful the day they were surveyed. However, when asked if they wanted to supplement the Ranch with stocked trout, the vast majority disagreed, preferring to keep the Ranch a wild trout fishery.

Raising Pinkies for Trout
